Our Lady of the Valley Catholic School

A New Beginning

Something new is growing in the Matanuska Valley. For many years, the parishioners in Palmer, Wasilla and Big Lake have dreamed of a Catholic school to provide a firm educational foundation for their children. The dream was for a school that would nurture the spiritual, academic, emotional and physical development of each child.

With a strong commitment from the valley parishes, Archbishop Schwietz blessed the building on April 28th, 2007 for Our Lady of the Valley Catholic School. Opening day established the first ever Catholic school in the Mat-Su Borough.

Pre-K through 8th Grade - Established on August 20th, 2007
